Single Review: Jennifer Lopez ft. Lil’ Wayne – ‘I’m Into You’

Here’s the thing about ‘I’m Into You’: there’s just not much to say about it. It isn’t a bad song so I can’t go on about the problems with it, and it isn’t great so I can’t really praise it either. Lil’ Wayne’s guest verse is good but not remarkable. J.Lo’s delivery is fine. The “na na” hook is certainly no “la la” from ‘On The Floor’ and is probably too “Rihanna” to be convincing from Jennifer.

The whole kerfuffle can be summarised with the following points:

• A good song with an interesting pre-chorus bit that leads into a very lazy chorus.

• There are at least five or six songs on Love? that I would’ve released as second single over this.

• Should’ve been ‘Papi’.

5.5/10
